Upgrade 1.1 – Zalman in The House

As I mentioned in one of my previous posts I intended to buy a cooler for my Q6600 CPU, because it is far too dangerous to leave it with the Al cooler that it comes with(the BOX one). At first I wanted to buy Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme, but then I found that it is too difficult to be found here, so I decided to bet on Scyth Infinity 1000. It was a wonderful decision, yet it cannot fit my Mobo. My next choice was again Scyth – Andy Samurai. Again – the same problem with the mobo….I didn’t even tried Katana. The problem led me to buying one of the old-school coolers without heat pipes. I know that this automatically decreases the cooler’s specs, yet I did not have other choice. So I bought ZALMAN CNPS7500-CU LED. This solid copper monster comes with its own Fanmate 2 technology. It allows the fan to rotate at very high speed, yet then it becomes a bit noisy and then I can decrease the speed so it is noiseless.
Here is a very good review concerning this blue-light(yeah, it glows….) cooler.

In a few days I may post some results of 100% CPU load and so on….but this will take me some time and I do not have it right now…so I cannot promise anything.
