GeForce 9800GX2 – The New King is Coming

Today Tom’s Hardware revealed that the long expected new VGAs of nVidia are on their way to us. As unofficially announced and now confirmed the new cards are expected somewhere around the middle of February this year.
According to Tom’s Hardware, the new GeForce 9800GX2 card will have 2GPUs, using 65nm nodes, which is very good. Some expected the 45nm architecture, but for m this would have meant a new MoBo, after I have upgraded mine less than half an year ago. Also, each GPU has 512RAM connected, so I will have great upgrade from my 256MB to 1GB. Judging by the expected price, this is the mid-high model($499) and nVidia have mentioned something about even more powerful $600 model. Who know what it can offer. Still, I believe, that the 9800GX2 is pretty good and if it grants the promised 30% increase of performance compared to the current top-models – great time is coming.
