Starcraft 2 to be released without LAN-play option
For some days already this rather disturbing news circulates the Internet. And it is confirmed now. In a Starcraft interview for Joystiq, Blizzard’s PR Bob Colayco said that this measure ensures better gameplay for the users, as BattleNet is the perfect place and most probably will stop the piracy. Moreover, he mentioned that this radical change is planned for all of their future games (bye, bye Diablo club geeks).
This first game of the StarCraft II trilogy, Terrans: Wings of Liberty, is expected to ship by the end of the year. Zerg: Heart of the Swarm and Protoss: Legacy of the Void will follow in timely manner. In the meanwhile – you can sign the petition again this new decision of Blizzard.
